Southern Alpacas

Farm visitors are welcome, by prior appointment, for an "alpaca picnic". Expect an amusing and informative talk about the alpacas, hands on feel of the soft alpaca fibre and fashion, a cuppa and a cake, and the opportunity to meet and feed the alpacas and purchase momentoes to take home.

Our alpaca gallery is a great facility for people coming to visit the farm to see and learn about alpacas. With its displays of alpaca fibre and products, seating for 50 and a public address system, it is ideal for group visits.

Visitor-friendly features of our facilities are:

  • Seating for 50
  • Display of alpaca fibre and products
  • Public address system for all to hear
  • Vehicle access to the alpaca gallery door, and bus turning space
  • Level access, sealed driveway, grassed walking areas
  • All weather facility, with adjoining covered yards, so all stay dry
  • Two toilets available in our adjacent house
  • BBQ in garden setting for lunch and evening groups
